BEST WINTER EVER! by Stefan Lesco, Fourth Grade

This past winter was one of the most fun I have ever had. My dad, my brother Michael (and little brother Tommy too) built a huge ice skating rink in our back yard for us to play ice hockey. We spent a lot of time skating with my family and my friends and it was a blast! One of the best times was when my cousin Kevin and some friends came over with their fathers. We played a hockey game us kids against fathers. We had a great time playing and the fathers always think they can win! But they didn't. We have a big light shining on the rink so we can play late. We also have a bon fire so when we took a break we can warm up standing by it. And we always have hot chocolate to drink and snacks. This winter was the best winter ever.

  1. Dear Stefan,

I loved how you wrote about an experience that really happened to you. I'm not a very good ice skater, but you made it seem like I was right there watching all of the action!
    KEEP ON WRITING!
